This private tour combines the treasures of the Silk Road with one of the most unusual countries in the world. Your driver and your guide are there for you alone. From Tashkent you fly to the oasis town of Khiva and travel on into Turkmenistan. There, the ruins of Kunya-Urgench await, along with a night at a yurt camp by the burning Darvaza gas crater, the "Gates of Hell". Afterwards you experience Ashgabat with its white marble palaces, the Akhal-Teke horses and the ancient oasis city of Merv. Back in Uzbekistan come Bukhara and Samarkand with its magnificent Registan Square. Six UNESCO World Heritage Sites on one trip.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa?
German citizens do not need a visa for Uzbekistan. For Turkmenistan we obtain the required letter of invitation, and you then receive your visa on arrival. Your passport must be valid for at least six more months. Travellers of all other nationalities should check the entry requirements for their country before travelling.
Where do I stay at the gas crater?
At a simple yurt or tent camp near the crater. Dinner and a picnic breakfast are included. An unforgettable experience, especially at night.
Will I travel alone or in a group?
Completely privately: your driver and guide accompany only you and your travel companions. You choose your start date yourself.
