Award for outstanding service idea in cycling tourism

Au in der Hallertau, February 21, 2025 – Great success for PDC Tourism: The company was awarded the prestigious "Golden Pedal" by the ADFC Bavaria in the category Best Service Idea 2025. The jury was particularly impressed by the "Heimatradeln" (Cycling in Bavaria) project, which enables authentic and individual cycling holiday experiences in Bavaria.

PDC Tourism currently offers two special cycling tours: the “Hallertau Cycling Tour” and the “Picturesque East Allgäu & Wild Lech Valley Cycling Tour”.

• High-quality offerings that can be extended to other regions
• Excellent service, including a service hotline and luggage transfer from accommodation to accommodation.
• Unique experiences, e.g., encounters with hop farmers

Michaela Kaniber, Bavarian State Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism, emphasizes: “The bicycle is far more than just a means of transport – it is the key to unforgettable experiences in our Bavarian nature! The winners of the ‘Golden Pedal’ make a valuable contribution to sustainable and attractive cycling tourism with their creative ideas – both for locals and for our guests.”

With this award from the ADFC Bavaria, PDC Tourism underscores its high standards for service and quality in the cycling tourism sector. The company plans to further expand its offerings and open up even more regions in Bavaria to authentic cycling tour experiences.
