8 days by e-bike from the Allgäu to the Tyrolean Lech Valley
This cycling holiday combines two of the most beautiful landscapes in the Alps: the gentle Eastern Allgäu with its lakes and castles, and the wild Lech Valley in Tyrol, where the last wild river in Central Europe flows through the valley. You stay at the family-run Hotel Der Bären below the castle ruins of Eisenberg and Hohenfreyberg, and for two nights at Hotel LechZeit with its spa. Along the way you cycle past the Lech Falls and along Lakes Weißensee, Hopfensee and Forggensee, with views of Neuschwanstein Castle. Your luggage is transferred for you, and to finish, a 3-course menu from the Bären garden awaits you. In 2025 this concept won the Golden Pedal award of ADFC Bavaria, the Bavarian cycling association.

Do I need an e-bike?
We recommend one. Without a motor, the tour is only suitable for very fit cyclists. It is best to bring your own bike or hire one in advance from a bike shop. We can arrange hire bikes locally, subject to availability.
Can I visit Neuschwanstein Castle?
Yes, ideally on your day of arrival or departure. Tickets are available online from the Hohenschwangau Ticket Centre. We are happy to help you book.
Where can I park my car?
Free of charge at Hotel Der Bären, for the whole trip.
